Las contracciones en inglés nos ayudan a establecer un tono más coloquial dentro las conversaciones, por lo que es recomendable utilizarlos en mensajes de texto, blogs, notas, ensayos personales y en cualquier faceta que no requiera formalidad.
Sin embargo si se quiere dar un toque más formal a algún escrito, es recomendable evitar el uso de cualquier contracción.
Antes de decidir si usar contracciones en alguna tarea de escritura, debes tener en cuenta el tipo de audiencia y el propósito de esta escritura. Pero si te decides a utilizar contracciones, te mostramos una tabla que muestra las contracciones más utilizadas en el idioma inglés, las cuales están con sus respectivos ejemplos:
